The Stillwater campus, established in 2003, serves multiple missions to
area students. Primarily a Gateway Program, the Stillwater campus
serves students who would otherwise not be admitted to Oklahoma State
University. The campus, however, also admits students seeking general
education courses that transfer to other comprehensive colleges and
universities. Northern Stillwater admits approximately 300 new Students
each fall and spring semester, serving some 1,700 students.

Life in Stillwater

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy intercollegiate sports with Oklahoma State University’s athletic teams which have 50 titles to their name.
Stillwater has a thriving music scene being the birthplace to Red Dirt Music. Many Stillwater bands and musicians have started successful careers throughout the years including the Red Dirt Rangers, Stoney LaRue, All American Rejects, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Garth Brooks.
Stillwater’s downtown has a growing and vibrant night life with several wine bars, an Irish pub, sports bar, and a diverse restaurant selection. “The Strip” located near the university features restaurants and night life aimed at the young professional and college student.
Through the Vivia Locke Theatre and the Jerry L. Davis Studio Theatre, Oklahoma State University provides the community with a wide range of musical and theatrical performances. Other attractions include concerts, museums and educational programs. Stillwater’s museums focus on local, university and sporting history including a downtown art gallery featuring local artists.
