Cashier- Tonkawa – Full Time

SUMMARY: Receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Receive and record payments
  • Answer phones, type letters, and answer student questions regarding their account
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Process the main deposit, verify, and run reports
  • Drop off daily deposit at the bank
  • Provide weekly dormitory student meal counts to cafeteria
  • Verify and code board billing for payment
  • Put charges on accounts for ACT, Clep and Nursing Tests
  • Process insufficient fund checks written to Northern Oklahoma College
  • Update and activate student meal cards on Campus Commerce
  • Assist students regarding their NOC CARD/ STUDENT ID
  • Prepare monthly recharge invoices for copies, postage, printing, and travel
  • Scan and Index files
  • Prepare invoices for outside agencies as needed
  • Work the box office for events in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center
  • Assist other departments with duties that can be performed at cashier desk
  • Maintain job manual for position with regular updates to describe processes when substitutions are needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must have computer knowledge; the ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; mathematical skills; reasoning ability; the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions; and the ability to speak and write effectively. An un­derstanding of the importance of confidentiality is vital.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of an associate degree and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, push, lift, haul, pull, reach, carry, grasp, squat or stoop, bend and twist the body while performing essential duties, use hands to operate controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear. Dean of Students – Enid- Full Time

SUMMARY: The Dean of Students will serve as a leader and student advocate with students, faculty, staff and the community regarding college procedures and policies and higher education opportunities. The DOS will develop strategies to help improve overall customer service and overall student retention rates. Process and procedures will be developed to help close the gap of attrition rates and help improve overall communication and student satisfaction with the College. This dynamic individual will be high energy, student engaged and a unique problem solver. The DOS will oversee student services including student employment referral services, student activities and student government, and student support services for special populations, disability services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Oversee student conduct and discipline
  • Oversee residence halls and personnel
  • Coordinate campus security, crisis management, and crime reporting
  • Serve as a campus security authority
  • Serve as daytime campus security during normal working hours
  • Coordinate student employment and budget oversight
  • Oversee clubs and organizations
  • Oversee student senate and campus activities
  • Provide student-centered customer service
  • Serve as a representative of student affairs at community, state and regional meetings
  • Serve as liaison between student affairs and other departments
  • Annually compile information for the student handbook and campus calendar
  • Support college activities and special events through attendance and/or participation on the Enid campus
  • Participate in the institutions strategic planning process
  • Maintain job manual for position with regular updates to describe work processes
  • Travel between NOC sites and other locations required for meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Dean must preserve confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information and use independent judgment and initiative in the planning, organization, and performance of work. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, be flexible, meet deadlines, and set priorities while maintaining professional relationships when dealing with individuals; he or she must also value the significance of collaborative inclusiveness with a diverse employee and student population. The successful candidate will be an effective advocate who is assertive, yet diplomatic and passionate about helping students succeed. Weekend and evening work will be required. Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure, which includes a criminal background check. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is also required.
